My teaching experience has been predominantly at the college-level, for which I have fulfilled a variety of teaching and mentoring roles. Whether I am leading a small class of advanced undergraduates, or providing teaching assistance to a large lecture course, I believe that students should be given the opportunity to advance their learning on their own terms. In my classes, students will be engaged with concepts through active discussion and problem-solving and I endeavor to sustain an accessible and comfortable learning environment for students of all abilities and backgrounds. In recognition of my teaching efforts, I have been awarded a 'Certificate of Teaching Excellence' (Fall 2017) from Harvard University and an 'Outstanding Graduate Student Instructor Award' (Spring 2013) from the University of California, Berkeley.
