My Hometown

Project descriptions: Use either powerpoint or HTML format to introduce your hometown in at least 800-1000 words, 50-60 sentences. In addition to using the patterns and words you have learned so far to describe your hometown, you are also requiured to include 15-20 new words. The following are some information you should include in your project:

1. The location
Where is your hometown located? In what country, and what part of the country  (east, north, south, west....). You will need a map to show the location.

2. The size of your hometown
Is it a big city, or a small town? What is its population? If it is a small  town, what is the approximate distance between your town and the big (or  important city) closest to it? How important is your hometown locally or  nationally?

3. The weather pattern of your hometown
Describe all four seasons and what you can do in different seasons.

4. The location of your family home in the hometown
Where is your home located? In the city or town, or the countryside? Is it close to downtown, or is it in the subuhrbs? How far away is your> home from the Public Library, Train Station, Long-distance Bus Station (Greyhound), Airport?

Draw a simple map to show the geographic relationship between your home, the public buildings, rivers and mountains if relevant, and describe your home in reference to these public buildings and natural landmarks.

5. A brief history of your hometown
What is your hometown best known for (natural scenery, political center, historical importance, famous people, resort areas)? Include at least five pictures of famous sites of your hometown and tell us about them.
