1. GEORGE² LONGSTAFF (THOMAS¹) was born 1820 in Morpeth, Northumberland, England, and died 31 Jul 1866 in Sillick's Yard, St. John, St. Nicholas, Newcastle Upon Tyne. He married JANE JOHNSTON 13 Aug 1849 in St. Peter's Church, Parish of St. Andrew, Newcastle upon Tyne, daughter of THOMAS JOHNSTON and MARGARET BEWLEY. She was born Abt. 1822 in Wreay, Cumberland.

Children of GEORGE LONGSTAFF and JANE JOHNSTON are:

i. JANE MARGARET³ LONGSTAFF, b. 01 Aug 1850, Gateshead, Durham.

ii. ELIZABETH LONGSTAFF, b. 1853.

iii. GEORGE LONGSTAFF, b. 03 Sep 1859, Byker, Newcastle upon Tyne.
