EXERCISE ON "HE" AND "YE"

Both "He" (和) and "Ye" (也) are sometimes translated as "and" but in Chinese these two words perform different grammatical functions. "He" is a conjunction--it connects nouns or noun phrases. "Ye" is an adverb--it connects verbs or verb phrases. Practice making distinctions below

我妹妹我都是學生。
他是醫生,他爸爸是醫生。
王先生李先生都沒有孩子。
李友他姐姐是中國人。
我有兩個妹妹有一個弟弟。
我是美國人。 你是美國人嗎?
我家有七個人,爸爸媽媽兩個哥哥兩個弟弟我。
有兩個弟弟。
