Concept Piece

In preparation for a first meeting with the director, I composed this piece as a possible point of departure for the show's music and sound design. Shortly before the meeting, the director announced her intentions to compose her own music and to have all sound effects created live by the performers. As a Sound Designer who uses a predominance of electronic sources, it surprises most people to learn that I am a big fan of actor-based sounds and live music, so this decision was welcome news to me and meant nothing more than I would not be designing on this production. That said, I still think this piece is worthy of something and have thus posted it.
